25 | Licensing Program Analyst Veronica Martinez Garza conducted a Case Management-Deficiencies inspection on 03/22/24 at 04:00 p.m. to address comingling between school age children and preschool children. LPA met with Director Ana Granados, who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. There were 17 children present.
During today’s inspection, director disclosed that the kindergarten children who attend the school age program nap with the preschool children. Per director, kindergarteners arrive early from school and are placed with the preschool children to nap from 01:50pm to 02:30pm. Once the other school age children arrive at the facility, the kindergarteners are moved to the school age program. Director also stated that school age children are placed with the preschool children in the morning before they are taken to school and in the evening before they go home. Director stated that this has been the practice ever since she has been a director of this facility.
The following deficiencies were cited in accordance with Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations and Health & Safety Codes. Please see 809D for documentation of deficiencies.

LPA Veronica MartinezGarza informed Director Ana Granados that this report dated 03/22/24 document(s) 1 Type A citation(s) which shall be posted for 30 consecutive days as there is/are immediate risk(s) to the health, safety, or personal rights of children in care.
Also, LPA Veronica MartinezGarza informed the Director Ana Granados to provide a copy of this licensing report dated 03/22/24 that documents any Type A citation(s) to parents/guardians of all children currently enrolled by the next business day or the next day the children are in care, and to any newly enrolled parents/guardians for 12 months from the date of this report. A signed Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report (LIC 9224), or other written statement, must be placed in the child's file for verification.
