25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Veronica Martinez Garza conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility on 04/21/26 at 02:11 p.m. At approx. 02:16 p.m., LPA met with licensee Susana Alonzo who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. There were 05 children present in the home. According to the licensee, 12 children are enrolled and children’s schedule varies. Operation hours are Monday – Friday 06:00 a.m. – 06:00 p.m. LPA conducted the inspection in Spanish.
This is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, back patio, garage (converted playroom), and backyard. According to the licensee, children use the living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom (located between kitchen and back bedroom), garage, and backyard. Family members residing in the home are 2 adults and 0 minors. The licensee stated that their grandson is fingerprint cleared, goes to college, and comes back and forth to the facility. LPA provided consultation. According to the licensee, there are 2 dogs on the premises.
LPA toured all areas identified on the facility sketch used by children during this visit and were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. Tour began in the living room where LPA observed furniture and 2 children napping on mats. Tour then continued to the dining room where LPA observed a dining room table with chairs and stored cots and mats. According to the licensee, older children use the dining room for lunch and snacks, and younger children eat in a child size table for lunch and snacks in the kitchen. Children’s bathroom is located between the kitchen and back bedroom. LPA observed that the children's bathroom is safe and in sanitary conditions. LPA observed off-limits areas inaccessible to children.
At 02:22 p.m., smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were observed to be operable. The valve on the required 2A10BC fire extinguisher indicates fully charged and was serviced purchased on 06/09/25, per the attached service tag. The licensee has a first aid kit readily available.
