| During this inspection LPA also addressed incident that occurred at the facility on 11/2/2022. LPA conducted interviews and obtained documentation during this visit. The facility reported this incident to the Department within the required 24 hours.
Based on the information provided during this visit, it was found that meals are served family style- staff had prepared child’s # 1 plate with their meal substitution. As staff was helping another child open their meal, child # 1 grabbed a yogurt from the middle of table and took a scoop. Staff immediately took action- monitored child and followed procedures. Child did not display any symptoms and remained in school for the rest of the day. A technical violation was issued on this date.
LPA consulted with Site Supervisor, Mina Diaz Huerta regarding COVID-19 health and safety guidelines on this date.
LPA advised the licensee to access forms, regulations and quarterly updates on the Child Care Licensing website at: www.ccld.ca.gov
Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
