25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cynthia Reyes conducted an unannounced case management inspection on this date. This inspection is to ensure the health and safety standards as required by the regulations governing child care homes are met. LPA met with Maria Flores, Licensee who took LPA on a tour of the corrections needed from the technical violation documented on 10/12/2023.
LPAs had advised licensee that locks and alarms should be re-installed on all windows in the family room leading into the swimming pool area. Alarms were tested on this date that shows when the windows are open, they make a loud piercing sound that is audible throughout the house and alarm shuts off automatically on its own.
LPAs also advised to add a mesh covering along the iron gate separating the children cement area from the inside pool area. LPA observed the mesh that was placed on the wrought iron gate. Photos were taken.
LPAs pointed out to the licensee that the Iron gate was not self closing or not self latching. The Iron gate would get stuck on cement and would not close. LPA observed the entrance gate to the swimming pool now self latched and does not get stuck on the ground.
All swimming pool corrections have been made to ensure the health and safety of the children in care.
LPA observed proof from the licensee of DTap, MMR, TB for her self.
Exit interview with the licensee and a copy of this report was given. LPA consulted with the licensee that all pool regulations need to be met and maintained at all times. |
