On August 22 , at 1:20 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Shushanik Safaryan conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection to the above facility . On 12/08/23 a Non-Compliance Conference was held with licensee, Sharon Lee and facility was placed on two years required inspections.
During the visit LPA met with Facility Representative , Sharon Lee , who guided LPA on a tour of the facility . Per Director 29 children enrolled . During the visit LPA observed 14 children in Room A with 2 staff members and 9 children with 1 staff member in Room D . Per Facility Representative Room B and Room C not in use due to the low enrollment.
Teacher child ratios were observed to be in accordance with Title 22 Regulations. Staff names were recorded. Licensed facility is within the conditions, limitations, and capacity specified on the license.
The classroom furniture and equipment were inspected for good repair, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. All classrooms were inspected to ensure that the floors have a surface that is safe and clean.

All materials and surfaces accessible to children are toxic free. Each classroom has own bathroom accessible to the children. All toilets and washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating conditions.

During the visit LPA observed door alarm in classroom A and wind chime on the door knob to prevent children access to the patio area from where door leads to the street. First Aid supplies are available and complete in each classroom .

Napping equipment and bedding was inspected for good condition, appropriate storage, and cleanliness. Storage for children's belongings was inspected.


LPA observed that there are functioning smoke and carbon detectors in the facility. LPA observed a fully charged and serviced fire extinguisher with the service date 10/17/23. Emergency disaster drill was last conducted on 05/05/24 and 04/17/24 . Per Facility Representative there are no weapons, firearms, or bodies of water on the premises.

Snack menus are posted one week in advance where it is visible by the child's authorized representative. Menus for the past 30 days are available upon request.

The facility provides Am and PM snack , children bring their own lunch and bottles of water .

Trash cans used to discard food have tight fitting lids. Drinking water is readily available both indoors and outdoors, children bring their own water bottles too. The facility was observed to be free of flies, other insects, and rodents.

The facility was observed to be equipped with an isolation area for any child who becomes ill and it is located in Room B.

Outdoor playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. There is adequate shade in the play yard. Per licensee sand area racked and checked every morning. LPA observed four cameras covering 2 emergency exits and 2 entry ways . Per Director cameras are in working condition .

Sign in and out sheets were observed in each classroom and reviewed to ensure that the person who signs the child in and out uses their full legal signature and records the time of the day. During this inspection 23 children were present and LPA observed 23 signatures on the sign in sheets .

At 2:00 PM 6 children’s records were reviewed to ensure that Identification and Emergency form and a medical assessment are on file. Inspection of required forms was made and documented on the LIC 857.

At 2:30 PM , LPA reviewed 3 staff records; staff files were complete. Criminal Records Clearance for adults and verification of CPR/First Aid and health preventative practices documentation was reviewed. The review of Staff records was documented on the LIC 859.

Per licensee, currently they do not have any children to provide IMS.

Based on the LPA`s observations and record review the licensee is in compliance with California Title 22 Regulations. Therefore, there are no citations being issued today.
