Safe and age appropriate toys, play equipment and materials were observed. The smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and Fire Extinguisher (3A10BC) are all in operable condition. Electrical outlets are inaccessible. No recalled and or prohibited toys or sleep/ play equipment were observed on the premises. There is a designated area for ill children as necessary in the day care area. Per Licensee, no one smokes in the home, and there are no weapon/firearms in the home. The facility sketch is complete and current, there is working telephone (cell).
Fire/Disaster drills are maintained current. Last fire disaster drill was completed on April 2023. There is a fireplace that is located in the main house. LPA observed the fireplace to be screened.
Bathroom: Shower/tub are free of hazards and is made inaccessible to children by being blocked off with a storage cabinet. Toilet and faucet are clean and operable. LPA observed a diaper storage cabinet, as well as a storage closet with blankets and diapers in the children's bathroom. The top cabinet has a safety latch, making the cleaning solutions inaccessible to children.
Kitchen: Sharp utensils, open bottles or alcohol are inaccessible. The home has a clean and fully stocked refrigerator/freezer. Sharp knives are located in the off-limits main house. Kitchen cabinets are storage cabinets for extra paper towels, napkins and dry snacks. Cleaning supplies are in the garage which is locked during business hours. Breakfast, lunch, and PM snack are provided. Licensee stated she currently does have a food program.
