32 | In regard to allegation staff treated child in rough manner Staff # 1- 5 corroborated that they have never treated a child in a rough manner or have witnessed anyone else treat a child in a rough manner. Per staff if they have children with behavior issues they talk to the child and provide different activities for them to do, if the behavior continues, they call the front for support. Children will be taken into the office for them to calm down and then they will be taken back into the classroom to resume the activity they were doing.
LPAs conducted interviews with parents and children. Parent’s statements corroborate that they do not have any concerns with the facility or the staff in the facility and are happy with the care that their children receive. Children’s statements corroborate that they like their school and their teachers. Children did not disclose being treated in a rough manner or witnessing any other children being treated in a rough manner. Per child # 3 and # 4 if children don’t listen the teacher talks to them first and if they still are not listening, they go to the office.
This agency has investigated the complaint alleging Staff treated child in a rough manner. Based upon the evidence as presented above, the allegation has been determined to be UNSUBSTANTIATED. A finding of Unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove alleged violation(s) did or did not occur, therefore at this time the above allegation is unsubstantiated.
