If the parents of the biter do not support the conference, the child will be disenrolled from the program." All staff stated they abide by the biting policy. LPA reviewed children's files and did not observe any children who were biting others for over a year. LPA did observe files with signed biting policy forms. LPA observed the facility appears to be following their biting policy. All staff interviewed stated they provide visual supervision of children in care at all times. Parents interviewed stated they were satisfied with the care, supervision, and treatment of their child at Lad N Lassie. Technical Support Program was offered to facility and accepted by Director.
Complaint also expressed concerns about lack of outdoor play/physical activity and stated that children were not taken outside even though weather permitted. During interviews conducted, all staff stated children are always taken outdoors every day unless weather does not permit outside play.
Complaint also expressed concern that parent was told by staff their child ate their lunch when they had not, parent was not notified of a party and their child had eaten food during a party without parent consent. During interviews conducted, all staff stated there has never been a time that a child was given food from a party or through other means without parent consent. Staff stated parents are notified how much food their child has eaten on the Daily Report given to parents at the end of the day. All staff stated parents are notified of a party ahead of time. All parents interviewed stated they are notified by the facility if there will be a party for their childs classroom or that Lad N Lassie will be providing food for children to eat. All parent interviewed stated they are always notified of what food will be provided and the ability to let the facility know if parents do not want their child to eat the food that will be provided for the party or other occasion.
Complaint also expressed concern regarding picking up their child with dirty hands, face, and clothing. Staff interviewed stated children's hands are washed throughout the day, before and after meals, after outdoor play, if staff see they are dirty, or prior to going home. Parents interviewed stated they do not have any concerns with their child’s hands, face, or clothing being dirty while at the facility. LPA Babcock did not observe children's
