25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Seung Lee conducted an unannounced annual random inspection to the above facility. Upon arrival, LPA Lee met with licensee, Tammy Vasquez. Also present during this inspection, is Co-Licensee Robert Vasquez. The licensee states that they currently have 12 children enrolled. A current children’s roster is available and is current. Licensee’s hours of operation are 6:30am-6am, Monday-Sunday. Upon arrival LPA Lee observed 2 children in care. About an hour into the inspection, the co-Licensee came back with 3 more children in care.
This is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, den, attached garage, laundry room, front yard and backyard (fenced). The children use the living room, dining room, kitchen, den, laundry room, bathroom by laundry, and backyard. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: all bedrooms, additional bathroom, attached garage, and front yard. All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. The licensee provides food for children in care.
The licensee states that 4 adults and 3 minors currently live in the home. Licensee states that they currently have one assistant. All individuals present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing or volunteering in a licensed home. Per licensee, there are no weapons, firearms or bodies of water on the premises.
During the inspection, LPA observed four play yards that are used for nap. Per licensee, the living room will be used as an area for an ill child until an authorized representative comes to pick up child. The tour continued to the right where the dining room and kitchen were. Sharp knives in the kitchen are kept up high in a tool box, out of reach of children in care. The dining room is used for meal time and craft activities.There were age appropriate toys and equipment for children in care to use. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and are operable.
