32 | Licensee guided analysts on a tour of the facility. During this visit, all areas identified on the facility sketch that are accessible for children to use were toured and inspected and the following was observed.
Per licensee, areas off-limits to children and parents include the entire second floor, and 1 bedroom, dining room, family room, front yard and half of the fenced backyard downstairs. The children have access to kitchen, living room, one bathroom, daycare room in converted garage and the portion of backyard that is fenced off next to the dining room and living room.
Facility License, Emergency Disaster Plan, Parent’s Rights Poster, and Earthquake Preparedness Checklist were observed to be posted next to the door leading to the outside of the home. A current children’s roster was available for review.
There is telephone service via a cellphone that stays at the facility during operation hours. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Licensee cares for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old.
Detergents, cleaning compounds, and medications were observed to be inaccessible to children. Per Licensee, there are no poisons on the premises, and none were observed on this day. LPA advised that any poisons should be locked under key or combination lock. Licensee states that there are no firearms or weapons stored in the home, and none were observed on this day.
The valve on the required 2A 10BC fire extinguisher indicates fully charged and was serviced on 7/15/2024, as indicated on the service tag. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and were operable on this day.
All homes shall conduct fire and disaster drills at least once every six months and document the date and time of each drill. Last fire drill conducted was 3/3/2025.
