25 | At 10:30 am Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Roxana Lopez and Saul Valenzuela conducted a Case Management - Licensee Initiated visit for the purpose of evaluating a request for a capacity increase from 8 to 14. LPA met with Licensee Keisha Franklin, who guided analysts on a tour of the facility. There were no children present during this inspection. Per Licensee, there are 4 children currently enrolled. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM-6:00 PM. Fire clearance for a capacity of 14 was granted on 03/20/2024. Licensee, stated that her daughter/assistant was in the library with 3 children.
This is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, garage, and backyard (fenced). LPA observed a fireplace in the living room, which it is barricaded and off limits for children. Per Licensee, the children use the living room, dining room, 1 bathroom and back yard for play. Areas off limits to children and parents include: 3 bedrooms,1 bathroom, kitchen and detached garage. All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected.
The home was inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service via cell phone and landling, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. There are age-appropriate toys and equipment on the premises.
The valve on the required 2A 10BC fire extinguisher indicates fully charged and was serviced on 08/22/2023, as indicated on service tag. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and are operable on this day.------------------------- pg. 1 of 3 ---------------------------------------- |
