9:40 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Anthony Padilla conducted an unannounced Annual inspection to the above facility. Upon arrival LPA was met by Co-Licensee Daniela Ceron (S2). LPA observed licensee supervising 9 children outdoors and there were 2 infants indoors being supervised by Co-licensee Juan Ceron (S1). LPA provided the inspection Entrance Checklist, LIC 126 Licensee guided LPA on tour of the facility. Per licensee the hours of operation are Monday-Friday 5:00AM-6:00PM. At the time of inspection census was taken and present was 11 children (including 2 infants). Individuals residing in the home were discussed and noted.

This facility is located in the rear of a multiple unit complex, Unit D. This is a one story home which consist of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, attached garage, living room, dining room and kitchen area, and front yard.

Areas used by the children include the living room, dining room, bathroom (located in the hallway by living room) and front yard/patio (enclosed).

Per Licensee, off limit areas for the children and parents are the three (3) bedrooms, one bathroom located in master bedroom, the backyard and attached garage. Off limit bedrooms had door safety knob covers to prevent access to children in care. The door to the garage was locked. All areas identified on the facility sketch that children use were inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service via land line, ventilation and heating. The following was observed and reviewed during this inspection:

Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which could pose a danger to children were observed to be in latched cabinets and drawers in the kitchen and bathroom making items inaccessible to children in care. The licensee states that there are no poisons in the home and understands that storage areas for poisons must be locked with a key or combination lock.

The home has central air and heating, No fireplaces or open face heaters were observed by LPA. The required 2A10BC Fire extinguisher was observed in the kitchen with current service tag of 5/24/24. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and found operable. Page 1

LPA observed required posted documentation in facility entrance.

Isolation area for sick children waiting to be picked up is in living room on the adult size couch , separate and away from the other children in care. Per Licensee there are no firearms or weapons stored in the home. LPA did not observe any weapons or fire arms during time of inspection.

The bathroom that children use is located on the left side of the main play space near two off limits bedrooms were observed to be clean and free of hazards.

Licensee states that food is provided for children in care except for infants. Licensee provide Breakfast, AM Snack, Lunch, and PM Snack. Licensee states that parents brig baby food for infants enrolled. LPA informed licensee if any food is brought from outside of the facility for children in care it must be individually be labeled and properly stored or refrigerated.

Currently, children are using the fenced front yard/patio for outdoor play time and activity time. LPA observed tables and chairs, toys and other materials for children to play with. LPA observed napping equipment in the living room. The licensee states that supervision is always provided during outdoors and nap time.

Licensee have completed training on preventive health practices including Pediatric First Aid and CPR. Pediatric First Aid and CPR expires for (S1) 4/27/26 and (S2) expires 4/27/26. There are first aid supplies available.

Children’s records were reviewed. LPA observed that C1 did not have infant sleep logs completed or in file. 11:00 AM LPA issued a Technical Violation (TV) for not having proof of completed safe sleep logs for infants. LPA reminded licensee to complete the infant Sleep Log documenting infants sleep every 15 minutes.

The licensee and co-licensees have proof of immunization against influenza, pertussis, and measles. Licensee and co-licensees have proof of the Mandated Reporter AB 1207 Child Care Training Certificate on (S1) 11/6/23 and (S2) 7/10/24. The last fire/emergency drill conducted: 7/20/24

Licensee states there are no pools or bodies of water at facility. LPA did not observe any of these items during time of inspection. Page 2

The facility has pets that consist of 1 tortoise, small fish aquarium, 1 small bird in a cage, 1 large dog, and 2 small dogs. LPA observed all dogs to be locked in off limits bedroom. Licensee states that children have minimal contact with pets and that its under supervision of licensee.

Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02- CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. Page 3

During the exit interview, the LICENSEE JUAN CERON, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.

At this time, the licensee is in compliance with California Title 22 Regulations. Therefore, there are no citations being issued today.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
