Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Susann Sanchez and Joshua Ortega conducted an unannounced case management - licensee initiated inspection to measure temporary outdoor play space. LPA met with Director Elisa Coburn who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Facility was granted a grant from CalFire to redesign the current outdoor space. Facility will temporary use the lot as a playground to the right of the facility until construction is over. Construction will begin mid- April. Current playground will be gated and blocked off so children will not have access.

Facility submitted the following:

  • lease agreement for the lot
  • construction play yard schedule.
  • Wavier request
  • facility sketch

LPAs measured temporary outdoor activity space. Total outdoor activity space measured 1518.89 square feet, which can only accommodate 20 children. LPA observed outdoor space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate equipment, including bikes, water table, planters, and other activity supplies for the children. LPAs took pictures of the space.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Owner Eliza Coburn and Assistant Director Lizbeth Ramirez.
