25 | On March 20, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Monique Ayala conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility. Upon arrival LPA was greeted by licensee, Laura Jauregui who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. LPAs observed 7 children in care. Per licensee there are 8 children enrolled. Also present in the home was licensee's assistant who is fingerprint cleared and associated to the facility. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7AM to 5PM. Inspection was conducted in Spanish.
The home is located on a duplex property. This is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, back yard (fenced), recreation room for play with bathroom and laundry room, and detached garage. Areas accessible to children include 1 bedroom, living room, 2 bathrooms (1 bathroom is located inside the recreation room), back yard (fenced) and recreation room. Recreation room and back yard are used for play. The bathrooms children use was observed to be safe and sanitary. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include 2 bedrooms, kitchen (children only walk through the kitchen to go to the back yard and recreation room), detached garage. LPA observed licensee has all kitchen drawers with child proof locks. LPA also observed Licensee has a gate between the living room and the kitchen to make it inaccessible to children in care. Licensee has 1 bird in a cage kept in the kitchen and 2 small dogs. LPA observed napping equipment for children in care (cribs, cots/mats).
The home is clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated. Licensee provides breakfast, lunch and snacks. LPA observed a functioning Smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide and working telephone. LPA observed fire extinguisher to be fully charged and serviced.
