32 | Per licensee, the facility is currently caring for school aged children and are not using the napping equipment. However, napping equipment is available if needed. Bedroom 1 was inspected and per licensee, bedroom room 1 is not really used currently by day care children. It is mostly used as an isolation area when a child becomes ill. LPA observed a latch that can lock bedroom 1, making it inaccessible to children in care. Bedroom 2 was then inspected, and LPA observed multiple age appropriate toys and books for children in care. The back yard was then inspected. Per licensee, children are not using the back yard as new grass is being installed. LPA reminded licensee before children are able to use the backyard, licensee must do a walk through and make sure there are no materials that can pose a danger to children in care. Per licensee, children play in the front yard and assures there is 100% supervision when children play in the front yard. All areas were observed to be clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated. The licensee is observed to be operating within the license capacity limitations.
Per licensee, the facility provides all meals for children in care. LPA reminded the licensee that food brought from home must be labeled with the child’s name, stored properly and or refrigerated.
If a child becomes ill, the child is isolated in bedroom 1 away from the other children while the parents are called. A cot is available if needed.
Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children.
LPA observed a functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detector in the kitchen area. LPA observed a 2A-10BC fire extinguisher in the kitchen area. The valve on the fire extinguisher was pointing to the fully charged green section and serviced on 05/21/2025. There is a working telephone on site. Per Title 22 Emergency Disaster Drill must be conducted and documented at least every 6 months. Per licensee, the last emergency disaster drill was conducted and documented on 3/12/2026.
Per the licensee, there are no weapons or bodies of water on the premises. LPA did observe a medium size dog during inspection. LPA reminded licensee that its best practice to provide 100% supervision when the dog is around the daycare children.
