| LPA did not observe any items that pose a danger to children in care. Next, LPA observed the den area which is used as an art studio. LPA then walked through the double doors in the den leading to the backyard. The back yard has a patio area with lots of plants for gardening and a septate section which is gated where LPA observed more toys and play apparatuses. All areas were observed to be clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated.
Per licensee, the facility provides all meals for children in care. LPA reminded the licensee that food brought from home must be labeled with the child’s name, stored properly and or refrigerated.
Per licensee, the living room is used as an isolation area when a child falls ill. A mat is provided if needed for child in care.
Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children.
LPA observed a functioning smoke / carbon monoxide detector in the hall way. 2A-10BC fire extinguisher was observed. The valve on the fire extinguisher was pointing to the fully charged green section and serviced on 9/23/2024. There is a working telephone on site. Per Title 22 Emergency Disaster Drill must be conducted and documented at least every 6 months. Per licensee, the last emergency disaster drill was conducted on 5/14/2025. LPA observed documentation of completed Emergency Disaster Drill.
Per licensee, there are no firearms or bodies of water on the premises. Per licensee there are 2 cats in the home. The cats are in an inaccessible area during daycare hours. Licensee has current First Aid and CPR, expires 7/23/2025.
LPA reviewed children files; files were found to be complete.
LPA reviewed staff files and files were deemed not complete. Staff #3 has an expired mandated reporter training and could not provide proof of immunization's. Children and staff names were documented on LIC811 (confidential page).
Licensee has completed Mandated Reporter training which expires on 7/30/2025. All childcare employees must complete mandated reporter training at www.mandatedreporterca.com, within 30 days of hire and renew training every two years.
Licensee has the required documents posted in the FCCH; Facility License (LIC 203), Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC610a), Notification of Parents' Rights Poster (PUB 394) and Earthquake preparedness Checklist.
