At 8:59AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Steven Tung conducted an unannounced annual inspection. A risk assessment was conducted prior to entering the facility. Due to COVID-19 precautionary measures were taken, licensing staff present during inspection wore appropriate personal protective equipment. LPA met with Licensee Dong Wang, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. There were 5 children present and the Licensee states that there are currently 14 children enrolled. The Licensee’s Assistant was also present.

There is 1 adult family member residing in the home (criminal record clearances on file). This is a one-story home which consists of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, garage, front yard (not fenced) and backyard (fenced). The children use the bathroom attached to the first bedroom, the living room, and the backyard (fenced). Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: 1 bedroom, kitchen, dining room, and garage. The LPA toured all areas used by children during this visit.

Areas accessible to children were inspected to ensure that they are clean and orderly with ventilation and heating for safety and comfort. There were safe toys, play equipment and materials observed for children. There is a working telephone service maintained in the home. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which can pose a danger to children are made inaccessible. Licensee states that there are no poisons in the home. The licensee does understand that poison must be locked with a key or combination lock.
