25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Veronica Martinez Garza conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility on 01/21/26 at 09:20 am. LPA met with Lorena Parga licensee who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. There were 5 children in care. Also present was the licensee’s assistant/husband. According to the licensee, 11 children are enrolled. Operation hours are Monday through Friday 06:00am – 06:00pm. LPA conducted the inspection in Spanish/English.
This is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, garage, front, back and side yard (fenced). Areas accessible to children include bedroom #3 which is the main day care area and 1 bathroom located in bedroom #3, front and side yard. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents includes 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, garage, and back yard. According to the licensee, there is 1 dog on the premises. Family members residing in the home are 3 adults and 0 minors.
LPA toured all areas identified on the facility sketch used by children during this visit and were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. Tour began in bedroom #3 which has been converted into the main day care room where LPA observed age-appropriate toys, equipment, and materials for children. LPA also observed (1) play pen and mats in the bedroom. The play pen is free from loose articles and objects. There are no objects hanging above or attached to the side of the play pen. Play pen does not hinder the entrance or exit to and from the space they are sleeping in. Mattresses were observed to be firm and covered with a fitted sheet that is appropriate to the mattress size. Per licensee, children use the bathroom located inside of bedroom #3. LPA observed that the children’s bathroom is in safe and in sanitary conditions. There’s also a first aid kit readily available.
