32 | For water drinking, licensee stated she provides filtered water, and each child has their own cup, individually labeled and are refilled as needed. The licensee stated the facility provides breakfast, lunch and p.m. snacks, dinner as needed and does not participate in a food program. Licensee stated she currently does not have enrolled children who have allergies or need medication.
LPA Garcia entered the bathroom and observed the toilet, hand washing sink, hand soap and LPA observed the bottom sink cabinet secured with a child safety magnet lock, but no cleaning or materials considered hazardous to be stored there. LPA Gacia observed the restroom to be in good condition.
LPA Garcia asked the licensee if there were any pets, poisons, firearms, weapons, or bodies of water. The licensee stated there are no pets, no poisons and no bodies of water, no firearms, and no weapons. LPA did not observe pets, poisons, firearms, weapons, nor bodies of water. The license was informed that if any poisons (ex; Drano, rat poison or items that fall into that category), firearms and weapons are purchased, it is required to be locked with a key or combination lock and firearm and ammunition must be stored separately.
LPA Garcia observed the required 2A10BC fire extinguisher located in the daycare room and the valve on the green area indicating fully charged. Licensee provided purchase receipt. LPA observed the carbon monoxide detector and smoke alarm located in the daycare room. Licensee tested the dual alarm. LPA Garcia heard the sounds and are operable. LPA observed the first aid complete with band aids, gauzes, adhesive bandages, and antiseptic wipes and located in the mirror cabinet in the daycare bathroom. For ill isolation, licensee stated she utilize a corner of the daycare room. Drill log was posted and observed to be current, last drill conducted was in 8/11/25.
LPA Garcia inspected the play outdoor (back yard) area that is utilized by children for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. LPA observed the back yard to be fenced and metal gate closed and with a lock that is out the children’s reach. LPA observed the play equipment to be age appropriate and in a safe condition, free of sharp, no lose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards (concrete and artificial turf). Sun sail shades were observed to provide proper shading for the children. For outdoor water drinking, children bring out their cups and refill as needed. There is a section of the back yard that is off limits to the children and is located on the left side of the yard. It is separated by a small white vinyl fence that is locked making it inaccessible to the children in care.
