Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Veronica Martinez Garza conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility on 11/05/25 at 02:09 pm. LPA met with Maria Flores licensee who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. There were 04 children in care. Also present was the licensee’s assistant, licensee's son, licensee's daughter in law, and licensee's minor grandson. According to the licensee, 11 children are enrolled. Operation hours are Monday through Friday 04:30am – 06:30pm.
This is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen, garage, front yard (fenced), and backyard (fenced). Areas accessible to children include living room, 1 bathroom, garage (activity room), and backyard. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents includes 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and the front yard. According to the licensee, there are no pets on the premises. Family members residing in the home are 3 adults and 1 minor. LPA discussed with the licensee that an updated LIC 279, LIC 279B, and proof of TB test for adults must be submitted to LPA. LPA also provided a copy of LIC forms during the inspections. All individuals present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing, or volunteering in a licensed home and are identified on the attached LIC 811.
LPA toured all areas identified on the facility sketch used by children during this visit and were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. Tour began in the living room where LPA observed living room furniture, child sized table with chairs, and napping equipment (cribs/mats). Cribs were observed to be in compliance with Title 22 regulations. According to the licensee, children nap in the living room. LPA was then guided down the hallway where the kitchen/dining table is located. Per licensee the kitchen is off-limits; however, children walk through the side of the kitchen to access the garage.
