Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lilli Babcock conducted an unannounced Case Management visit to follow-up on the visit conducted on 8/28/24. A COVID risk assessment was conducted. LPA met with Director, Maribeth Peralta, to whom the reason for the visit was explained. Director guided LPA on a tour of the facility. Census was taken. The 2-year-old class had 28 children and 4 staff; the 3-year-old class had 26 children and 4 staff; and the 4-year-old class had 3 staff and 25 children. The facility was observed to be operating within the license capacity limitations.

During the tour, LPA observed the noise level in Classroom 3 to be much louder than the 2-year-old and 4-year-old classrooms. LPA consulted with Director regarding strategies to reduce the noise level in the 3-year-old classroom and streamline transitions in the classroom to be more efficient, provide structure, and allow staff to engage more with children in care. Director stated she observes in the 3-year-old classroom daily and is working with staff regarding classroom management techniques.

During the visit, LPA conducted an interview with Director and obtained a copy of the children’s roster, and copies of all incident reports for the 3-year-old class during the months of July, August, and September to date.

No deficiencies are being cited at this time.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director, Maribeth Peralta
