On 8/29/25, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lilli Babcock conducted an unannounced follow-up complaint inspection to deliver findings on the above allegation. LPA met with Director, Maribeth Peralta to whom the reason for the visit was explained. Director guided LPA on a tour of the facility. Census was taken. LPA observed twenty (20) napping children with one (1) staff in Room 2, seventeen (17) napping children with one (1) staff in Room 3, and sixteen (16) napping children with one (1) staff in Room 4.

During this investigation LPA Babcock conducted interviews with fifteen (15) staff including the facility Academic Director, and two (2) daycare parents. LPA Babcock also obtained several documents related to the complaint allegation, including but not limited to, a copy of the Facility Roster (LIC 9040) and Personnel Report (LIC 500), and a copy of the staff schedule for the week of July 21-25, 2025.

Allegation: Staff left children unattended.

According to the allegation, on or around 7/24/25 or 7/25/25, two children were left outside on the play ground unattended and unsupervised. LPA conducted interviews with fifteen staff members, including staff working at the facility on 7/24/25 and 7/25/25, and there were no disclosures of children in the preschool program being left unattended or unsupervised. Parents interviewed had no concerns regarding supervision in the classroom or the playground at the facility.

Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.

There were no deficiencies cited on the above-mentioned allegation per California Code of Regulations Title 22.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
