32 | LPA observed in both the preschool (Old and New class rooms) and the toddler class room, there are age-appropriate toys available for children in care. Furniture and equipment were inspected for good repair, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts and age appropriate. All materials and surfaces accessible to children are toxic-free. There are restrooms accessible to children and a changing table will be added and located within arms reach of a sink located within the toddler classroom. All toilets and hand washing facilities for both programs are in safe, sanitary and operating conditions. The Toddler class room #4 has its own bathroom with 1 toilet, 1 urinal and 2 sinks. LPA observed a new bathroom in the middle of the new preschool class rooms area with 5 toilets, 1 urinal and 4 sinks. In each rooms 6-9 they have 1 sink each.
LPA completed measurements during this inspection and at this time, the licensee has corrections needed before an increase and adding of the toddler option can be granted Once all corrections are made the licensee will then be in compliance with California Title 22 Regulations. The Department has received an approved Fire Clearance from the Fire Department on 07/10/2023 for 159 preschoolers and 21 toddlers, total capacity of 180. The approval from licensing once all corrections are made will be, the preschool program overall capacity with the toddler option will be (178) children which will serve (158) Preschoolers and (20) toddlers per the licensee request.
Corrections needed:
1) Place changing table within arms reach of a sink in the toddler class room. (Send photos)
2) Have all 4 new preschool class rooms set up and ready for inspection. (Send photos)
3) Submit all documents requested by the LPA on this date. (See list provided by the LPA. Copies given)
4) Final file review by the LPA.
Facility Representative was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org site, a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
