32 | LPA observed infant play pens/ yards visible in living room for infants in care. Licensee has 15 min log for infants and Individual Infant Safe Sleep plan in children's files for infants. Licensee was reminded that no eating and napping are to taken place in the garage (classroom).
Currently, children are using the backyard for outdoor play. The outdoor play area was observed to be fenced. LPA observed that the outdoor yard has toys and other materials for children to play with. LPA did not observe any objects that could be hazardous to children in care. There are no pools or spas, or other bodies of water. Backyard is has two sections, 1 area for children and 1 area off limit to children in care.
LPA Calderon reviewed (4) staff and (4) children files. Children’s records were reviewed and files had appropriate documentation's. Staff files were reviewed and all staff are cleared, immunized, active cpr/first aid and active mandated reporter training. Licensee mandated reporter certificate expires: 2/15/26 and Licensee's pediatric cpr and first aid expires: 2/09/25. All staff had appropriate documentation in place, facility has assistants to assist with day care.
LPA provided Licensee consultation on operating a center per Licensee's request. Per licensee, no children are on medication. LPA observed no pets at the home. LPA observed chemicals, and sharps located in kitchen area, cabinets and have safety latches /locks and/or baby gate in place. Per Licensee, food is provided at the facility. LPA advised Licensee to update facility sketch on any changes regarding off-limit areas and areas accessible to children.

Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
