25 | On December 29, 2025 Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Staicy Perry conducted an unannounced annual inspection at the above facility. LPA were greeted by licensee Magdalena Rodriguez who guided LPA Perry on a tour of the facility. The licensee’s assistant daughter Arieal Garcia as well as licensees’ husband were present for the inspection. There are 14 children enrolled. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Family members residing in the home are 4 adults who have criminal record clearance and 1 minor child. This is a two-story home that consist of 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, pantry, garage, front yard which is fenced. Areas accessible to children are 1 bathroom (downstairs next to the kitchen), living room, kitchen, dining area and front yard. Off limit areas include 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, which are located upstairs, pantry and garage. Per licensee there is a cat and lizard that are in the home in off limit area away from the daycare children. Family members residing in the home have been discussed with licensee and are cleared. LPA observed 8 children In care.
LPA Perry inspected the facility for safety, comfort, cleanliness, ventilation and working phone (cell phone). For ventilation, LPA Perry observed central AC and the vents located on the ceiling. LPA observed the furniture, children’s materials, to be in good condition and of appropriate age. LPA did not observe a fireplace nor a wall heater. LPA observed 3 play pens and observed them to be free from bumper pads, blankets, pillows and hanging items.
LPA Perry observed cleaning compounds items, stored underneath the kitchen sink, and observed a childproof lock in place, making it inaccessible for children to open. LPA observed the knives and sharp objects stored inside the kitchen sink cabinet with a childproof lock making it inaccessible for children to open. LPA Perry also observed a kiddy gate to separate then kitchen from the rest of the area. For water drinking, licensee stated she provides water. The licensee stated the facility provides breakfast, a.m. snack, lunch, and p.m. snack. Licensee stated that she uses a food program called OPTIONS. LPA informed licensee any food brought from the children's homes, the container shall be labeled with the child's name and properly stored or refrigerated. Licensee stated she currently does not have any children with severe food allergies nor on medication.
LPA Perry entered the bathroom and observed the toilet, hand washing sink, hand soap and LPA observed the bottom sink cabinet closed and did not observe hazard materials and observed the restroom to be in good condition. LPA reminded licensee and personal items (ex; shampoo, toothpaste, mouthwash, or items that fall into that category) must be made inaccessible to children.
