25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA)Mary Silva conducted a Case Management - Licensee Initiated visit for the purpose of evaluating a request for a capacity increase from 8 to 14. LPA met with Licensee Syvonney Salcedo who guided LPA on a tour. LPA did not observe children during this visit. Per Licensee, there are 5 children currently enrolled. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday 5:30am-6:00pm. Fire clearance for a capacity of 14 was granted on 12/02/2024.
All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. The facility is a one story 3 bedrooms,
1 bathroom, kitchen, dining area, living room, front yard, backyard, swimming pool, jacuzzi, and detached garage. The areas accessible to children are kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom located in the hallway, and left side of the back yard. The areas inaccessible to children are three bedrooms, front yard, detached garage, swimming pool and jacuzzi.
The home was inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. There are age-appropriate toys and equipment on the premises. Licensee prepares all meals for children including am/pm snacks. Licensee stated there are no weapons or firearms in the facility. LPA observed 4 dogs on the premises, two dogs in a bedroom(Yorkies) and two dogs: Dutch Shepard and Dogo Argentino in backyard behind a gate. Per licensee, the dogs are kept in off limits areas during daycare hours. Currently residing in the home are three adults and no minor children.
The valve on the required 2A 10BC fire extinguisher indicates fully charged with receipt dated 10/09/2023. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and are operable on this day.
