25 | On September 30, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Monique Ayala conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility. A COVID-19 risk assessment was conducted prior to entering the facility. Upon arrival LPA was greeted by licensee, Marta Flores De Rafael who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. LPA observed 2 children in care, per licensee there are 13 children enrolled. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7AM to 6PM. Inspection was conducted in Spanish.
This is a one story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, front & rear yard (fenced). Areas used for day-care: 1 bedroom for infants, 1 indoor bathroom located in the hallway, the living room, dinning room, 1 bathroom located outdoors, and the rear yard (fenced). The children are primarily outside utilizing the carport area but are brought inside in extreme weather conditions utilizing the living room. Children eat and nap inside of the home utilizing the living room and dinning room. Off limit areas include: kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and front yard. There is a door to the off limit rooms that is maintained closed by a latch lock when children are not using the bedroom for nap time. Per licensee, she is part of meal program and provides all meals to children.
Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children. LPA observed working smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide, fully charged fire extinguisher, and working telephone.
There are several age-appropriate toys and a first aid kit on the premises. Per the licensee, there are no firearms on the premises. Licensee has current First Aid and CPR, expires 01/07/2025.
