25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Veronica Martinez Garza conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility on 04/17/26 at 10:28 a.m. At approx. 10:37 a.m., LPA met with licensee Maria Acevedo who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. There were 08 children present in the home. Also present was the licensee’s daughters/assistants. According to the licensee, 12 children are enrolled; however, their schedules vary. Operation hours are Monday – Sunday 23 hours a day. LPA conducted the inspection in Spanish.
Parents and children enter through the back yard. This is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, family room, laundry room, detached garage, front yard, and back yard (fenced). According to the licensee, children use the family room, 1 bathroom, 1 bedroom, and back yard. Family members residing in the home are 2 adults and 0 minors. According to the licensee, there is 1 dog on the premises.
LPA toured all areas identified on the facility sketch used by children during this visit and were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. Tour began in the family room where LPA observed empty feeding chairs, materials, and equipment for children. LPA then toured the bedroom near the family room where LPA observed empty play pens, stored cots, stored mats, and more materials for children. Children nap in the bedroom and family room. LPA was then guided to the children’s bathroom which is located down the hallway from the family room. LPA observed that the children’s bathroom is safe and in sanitary conditions. LPA observed that the off-limit areas are inaccessible to children.
