25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Veronica Martinez Garza conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection at the above facility on 02/12/25 at 02:35 pm. LPA met with, Rocio Campos licensee who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. There were 08 children present during this inspection. Also present during the inspection was the licensee’s assistant and adult daughter. Per licensee, 14 children are enrolled. Operation hours are Monday – Friday 06:00 a.m. – 06:00 p.m.
Also, the purpose of this inspection is for an increase in capacity. The Regional Office received a waiver request, the home is currently licensed for 14 children and licensee is request a capacity increase for 20 children. On January 7, 2025, the Governor issued a Proclamation of a State of Emergency (Proclamation) for Los Angeles and Ventura Counties due to the Palisades Fire and windstorm conditions, which ignited additional fires including the Eaton, Hurst, Lidia, Sunset, and Woodley Fires.
This is a two-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, family room (main day care room), garage, front yard (unfenced), side and back yard (fenced). Children use the living room, 1 bedroom, kitchen, family room, 1 bathroom (located next to the family room), and back yard (fenced). Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include 2 bedrooms, 1-bathroom (located on the second floor), front yard, and garage. LPA observed a well mounted child proof grate at the bottom of the stairs making the second floor inaccessible to children. Per licensee, there are no pets on the premises. Per licensee, family members residing in the home are 2 adults and 0 minors. All individuals present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing, or volunteering in a licensed home and are identified on the attached LIC811.
LPA toured all areas identified on the facility sketch used by children during this visit and were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. Tour began in living room where LPA observed furniture, car seats (not used), and a barricaded fireplace. Down the hallway from the living room there is 1 bedroom and the children’s bathroom.
