25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Veronica Martinez Garza conducted an unannounced Required-3 year inspection at the above facility on 04/22/26 at 09:00 a.m. At approx. 09:07 a.m., LPA met with licensee Sonia Chavez who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. There were 04 children present in the home. According to the licensee, 10 children are enrolled and children’s schedule varies. Operation hours are Monday – Friday 06:00 a.m. – 06:30 p.m and every other weekend 06:30 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
This is a one-story home which consists of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, additional room, garage, front yard, and backyard (fenced). According to the licensee, children use the living room, dining room (walk through), kitchen (walk through), 1 bathroom (located near the kitchen and backyard), and backyard. Family members residing in the home are 2 adults and 3 minors. According to the licensee, there are no pets on the premises.
LPA toured all areas identified on the facility sketch used by children during this visit and were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. Tour began in the living room where LPA observed furniture, (1) empty play pen, and a barricaded fireplace. Tour continued to the additional room that is located between the dining room and garage. According to the licensee, children use the additional room for activities, lunch/snacks, and nap time. LPA toured the additional room and observed age-appropriate toys, materials, and equipment for children. There were stored cots and age appropriate furniture. The garage door is in the additional room and was observed closed/inaccessible. Tour then continued to the kitchen where LPA observed kitchen cabinets have child proof locks and knives are kept in a top cabinet.
