32 | Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents are living room, three bedrooms, one bathroom, 1 kitchen, laundry room, and front yard , backyard , one of the side yards .
**Rooms that are off-limits need to be made inaccessible during operating hours** During this visit, all areas identified that are accessible for children to use were inspected for the safety, comfort, and cleanliness.
At 09:20 am Licensee guided LPAs to the tour of the home. LPAs were toured starting from the entrance that led directly to the daycare room , where LPAs observed all the postings . Facility License, Emergency Disaster Plan, Parent’s Rights Poster, and Earthquake Preparedness .
Next LPAs observed small table , chairs , toys , cubbies for the children belongings . LPAs observed cots in the daycare area . Per Licensee she washes bedding after each use . Next LPA toured the kitchen where observed child proof safety latches on the cabinets where licensee stores sharp items, LPAs observed cleaning supplies stored high inaccessible to the children .Next LPA toured bathroom and did not observe anything that can pose danger to the children in care .
A current children’s roster was available for review next to the main entrance .
There is telephone service via a cellphone that stays at the facility during operation hours. Hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 07:30 am – 5:30 pm. There is central air and heating in the home. LPA Detergents, cleaning compounds, and medications were observed to be inaccessible to children. Per Licensee, there are no poisons in the home. LPA advised that any poisons should be locked under key or combination lock. At 09:40 am Licensee stated that there are no firearms or weapons stored in the home.
The valve on the required 2A 10BC fire extinguisher indicates fully charged and LPA observed receipt with a service date 04/02/2024. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and are operable. All homes shall conduct fire and disaster drills at least once every six months and document the date and time of each drill. Last drill documented was conducted on 02/01/2024.
The home is observed to be clean and orderly. There are first aid supplies available. There are age-appropriate toys available for children. page 2 of 5 |
