32 | Information from the complainant indicates that children are not laying in bed during nap time, resulting in facility being out of ratio.
During the inspection on 05/10/2022, LPA arrived at 1pm, during facility nap time. Licensing staff did not observe any children out of their cots during the tour of the facility. All children remained in their cots during the review of each classroom. During the inspection on today’s date, no children were present.
Interviews with all staff members revealed that facility staff are of the understanding that one teacher or assistant may be alone with up to twenty-four children during nap time, as long as all children are remaining in their cots. Director states that if a child were to need to get up or use the restroom, the staff member would call the office for assistance. Staff #2-4, 6-7, and 10 all corroborate that if there were a child that gets up or if a child needs help, they would contact the office administration to get assistance.
Children interviews were not conducted during this investigation.
Parent interviews were not conducted during this investigation.
