32 | LPA observed a total of 6 toilets and 6 sinks available for the preschoolers. All toilets and sinks are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. The facility has a designated ill/isolation room. LPA observed the room to contain a couch for ill children to rest. Cot is also available for Ill children. Ill children will use the staff restroom.
LPA observed the preschool to have several emergency/first aid kits located in the facility. There are smoke detectors and fire extinguishers located throughout the facility.
At 10:55 AM, Licensing staff was guided through the proposed outdoor activity space. The outdoor playground was inspected for safety, cushioning material, good repair and age appropriateness. LPA observed age appropriate play equipment and toys. There is adequate shade available to children via canopy and trees located in the outdoor play area. LPA observed water fountains be made inaccessible to children located both indoors and outdoors. Per Director, children will not utilize the water fountains as a COVID precautionary measure. Parents provide sippy cups for their child. There is a kitchen on the premises that is off-limits to children. Facility will continue to provide AM/ PM snacks and Lunch to the children in care. No transportation is being conducted by the facility.
Medication: This facility will provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS. Based on measurements obtained today from both indoors and outdoors, capacity for the proposed preschool program will be seventy-one (71) preschoolers. A fire clearance for the change of ownership was received and approved by Arcadia Fire Department. At this time, the facility is in compliance with title 22 regulations. Per applicant's and current owner request, facility Change of Ownership transfer will be effective on 10/01/2021.
