25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cynthia Reyes, conducted an announced 1 year annual site Inspection. LPA met with Teresa Fuentez, Director. The Director is also requesting a decrease in capacity from 132 to 108 preschool children and a Toddler Option has been request for capacity of 24.. The facility preschool program Days & hours are Monday-Friday 7 AM-6 PM.
At 9AM, LPA began the tour of the facility with Teresa, beginning at the front lobby where the Directors office is located. Teresa states preschool parents will enter and exit in this lobby area. During Covid or not, parents will sign the child in/out (electronically), here in the lobby. Health checks are being conducting and use of hand sanitizer is available. Parents are able to enter the class room. LPA observed a parent board placed inside each class room and in the main lobby with all the required licensing forms visible for all to see.
The ill/isolation area is located in the lobby behind the front desk and the staff rest room for an ill child to use is located at the front of the hall way to all the class rooms. The ill/isolation area has a mat for a child to rest if needed. A staff lounge/lunch area is located next to the kitchen area that is used for snack/meal prep.
Teacher-child ratios were observed to be in accordance with Title 22 Regulations. Staff names were recorded. All children were observed to be under supervision and observation, including visual supervision, of a teacher at all times. The licensed facility is within the conditions, limitations, and capacity specified on the license.
Licensing staff was then guided through the Preschool class rooms (Preppers age 2 class room, will now be the Toddler Option. The Preschool class rooms now will be designated as Preschool age 2 1/2, Preschool age 3, Pre-K1 age 3/4, Pre-K2 age 3/4, and Plaza age 2-5). Toys were observed to be age appropriate clean and safe.
