25 | On February 22,2024, at 11:25 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kruz Long conducted an unannounced Required 3 Year inspection at the above facility. A COVID-19 risk assessment was conducted prior to entering the facility. Upon arrival LPA Long was greeted by licensee, Karlana Flores. LPA observed 3 infants, 4 toddlers in care. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30AM to 5:30PM.
This is a single-story house with a living room, kitchen, dining area, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and an attached garage.
The day care takes place in the living room, dining area, kitchen, bathroom and fenced front yard.
Per Licensee, there are 4 adults living in the home (Licensee, spouse and 2 adult children). All of which has criminal record clearance. Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored and locked under the kitchen sink where it is inaccessible to children. LPA observed working smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide, fully charged fire extinguisher, and working land line telephone. There are age-appropriate toys and a first aid kit on the premises. Per the licensee, there are no firearms on the premises. Licensee's First Aid/CPR certification expired on 02/05/2024. LPA reviewed children files; files were found to be complete. LPA reviewed staff files; files were found to be complete. Children and staff names were documented on LIC811 (confidential page).
