25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cynthia Reyes, conducted an unannounced Case Management site Inspection, to ensure the health and safety standards as required by the regulations governing child care centers are met and to go over if a waiver is needed as the infant program does not have a bathroom. LPA met with Megha Sahni, Director, who took LPA on a tour of the facility indoors and out. Census of children were documented and teacher child ratio were observed to be met. The facility days & hours are Monday-Friday 7 AM-6 PM.
Per conversation with director Megha, Infants are not being potty trained in this program. Infants diapers that are solid are being discarded by use of a trash can with a tight fitting lid. LPA informed Director that if potty training will be conducted in this program then potty chairs are needed. Title 22 Regulation states, 101439(i) There shall be a minimum of one hand washing sink to every 15 infants and one potty chair to every five infants being toilet trained. Infants have one sink in the class room with a changing table.
The facility provisional license will be updated to reflex a regular license as of this date. No rest room or waiver is needed for the infants as it was a mis-communication during the initial pre-licensing inspection and approval of the license.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with and given to Director Megha Sahni. Consultation was conducted on this date. |
