Upon LPA's arrival LPA observed licensee's biological two children and one daycare child were sleeping in daycare bedroom in the home. Next LPA toured the kitchen and observed child safety latch on the cabinet under the sink to make the cleaning compounds inaccessible to the children. LPA observed licensee stores knives in a high cabinet out of reach of children. Next LPA toured the one daycare bedroom and observed one foldable cribs and a bunk bed in the daycare bedroom. Next LPA toured the one bathroom and observed child safety latch on the cabinet under the sink and shower door. LPA observed the required 2A 10BC fire extinguisher was placed on the fridge in the kitchen. It was serviced on 09/23/25 as read by LPA from the service tag. Licensee tested the carbon monoxide detector in the kitchen and smoke detector in the hallway of bedrooms. Both sounded off the alarms and heard by LPA to be functional. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which could pose a danger to children were observed to be inaccessible to children
Children are using the back yard for outdoor play time. The outdoor play area was observed to be fenced. LPA observed that the outdoor yard has toys and other materials for children to play with. LPA did not observe any objects that can pose a danger to children on the outdoor yard. The licensee states that supervision is always provided. During this inspection LPA observed children napping cots in the backyard, outside the garage door. Per licensee, last night she had guests and she moved the cots to the backyard. During this inspection at 9:10 a.m., licensee brings the napping cots in the living room. LPA observed outdoor space is gated to make the off-limit areas in the backyard inaccessible to the children. Per licensee, children are using the garage for limited activity only, children do not eat or sleep in the garage. Per licensee, children mainly eat either outside and sometimes inside the home in the kitchen, and sleep in the living room in the main home. LPA observed children toys, tables, chairs and a changing table in the garage. There are two gates in the backyard, one leads to the Raymod Ave. and one gate leads to the back alley.
Per licensee, she provides food for children in care. Per licensee, kids also bring food from home. Licensee was advised that if food is brought from the children’s homes, all containers must be labeled with child’s name and properly stored or refrigerated. Per Licensee, there are no pets, weapons, firearms, pools, spas, hot tubs, fish ponds, or similar bodies of water on the premises.
