25 | At 10:40 am Licensing Program Analystw (LPAs) Roxana Lopez and Saul Valenzuela conducted a Case Management - Licensee Initiated visit for the purpose of evaluating a request for a capacity increase from 8 to 14. LPA met with Licensee Darshana McNair, who guided analysts on a tour of the facility. There were no children present during this inspection. An annual inspection was conducted on this date, prior to this visit.. Per Licensee, there are 9 children currently enrolled. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:00AM-5:00AM. Fire clearance for a capacity of 14 was granted on 03/26/2024.
All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected.This is a one-story home which consists of 4 bedrooms, 2 restrooms, living room, kitchen, backyard and patio (fenced). The children have access to living room, bedroom #1 (daycare room), restroom # 1 located in the hallway near the daycare room and backyard that is adequately fenced.
The home was inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service via cell phone, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. There are age-appropriate toys and equipment on the premises.
The valve on the required 2A 10BC fire extinguisher indicates fully charged and was serviced on 04/03/2024, as indicated on purchase receipt. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and are operable on this day. Licensee has current CPR/First Aid certification, expires on 10/30/2025 and Mandated Reporter Training Certificate, expires on 02/2026.
