25 | On January 4, 2024, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Monique Ayala and Staicy Perry conducted an unannounced Required 3 Year inspection at the above facility. A COVID-19 risk assessment was conducted prior to entering the facility. Upon arrival LPA were greeted by licensee, Ana Herrera, also present in the home was licensee's adult daughter and husband who are fingerprint cleared and associated to the facility. LPA observed 1 infant and 1 preschool age child in care. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 4AM to 6PM.
Licensee requested a capacity increase from 8 children to 14 on 12/01/2023. The fire clearance for 14 children was granted on 12/19/2023. Capacity Increase will be granted, pending final file review.
This is a single-story house with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathroom, detached garage that remains locked at all times, laundry area with chemicals and cleaning compounds inaccessible to children in care, living room, kitchen and completely fenced rear yard.
The day care takes place in living room, bedroom #1, hallway bathroom, bathroom located in the outside play area and fenced in yard. The home is clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated.
Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children. LPA observed working smoke detector and Carbon Monoxide, fully charged fire extinguisher, and working telephone.
There are several age-appropriate toys and a first aid kit on the premises. Per the licensee, there are no firearms/weapons on the premises, LPAs did not observe any firearms/weapons. Licensee has current First Aid and CPR, expires 10/09/2024.
