32 | Facility will provide snacks and parents will provide lunches for their child. LPA observed each classroom to have a kitchen prep area. No transportation will be conducted by the facility. Licensing staff was guided through the preschool outdoor activity space. There will be three designated outdoor play areas (Main Open area, Playground with sandbox, Preschool play yard). The children will have access to the Preschool play from classroom HH 105. The designated outdoor play area was observed to be enclosed by a fence. LPA observed the outdoor area to contain picnic tables, art equipment’s, a sandbox area, age-appropriate play structure, and multiple themes play sections. There is adequate shade provided in the outdoor play area.
Applicants was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

Applicants was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org site, a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
The Department has received an approved Fire Clearance from the Pasadena Fire Department. Based on measurements obtained today, the capacity for the preschool program will be one hundred and sixty (160) children.
