25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Nolan Tcheng conducted an unannounced Annual random inspection to the above facility. At 11:50am, LPA met with licensee, Shunan Wang. Also present during this inspection, is Licensee’s Assistant. The licensee states that they currently has 7 children enrolled. A current children’s roster is available and is current. Licensee’s hours of operation are 7am-6pm Monday-Friday.
This is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining area, living room, attached garage, front yard and backyard (fenced). The children use living room, one bathroom, Master bedroom, Bedroom 3, and back yard. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: bedroom #2, kitchen, dining area, master bathroom, attached garage, and front yard. All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. The licensee provides food for children in care.
The licensee states that 3 adults and 2 minors currently live in the home. All persons who live in the home are identified on attached LIC811 form. Licensee states that they currently have one assistant. All individuals present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing or volunteering in a licensed home. Per licensee, there are no bodies of water on the premises. LPA reviewed firearm storage in accordance with Title 22.
At 12pm, LPA was led on a tour of the facility by the licensee. Upon entry into the home, the living room was reviewed. Emergency Disaster Plan, Parent’s Rights Poster and the Facility License are observed to be posted. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and are operable. There were 5 children napping in the living room on mats as napping equipment. Fireplaces and open face heaters are inaccessible to prevent access by children. There are first aid supplies available.
