25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Nolan Tcheng conducted an unannounced random annual inspection to the above facility. At 11:20am, LPA met with co-licensee, Alan Tse. Also, present during this inspection, is Co-Licensee Nuoyi Huang. The licensee states that they currently has 12 children enrolled. A current children’s roster is available and is current. Licensee’s hours of operation are 8am-6pm Monday-Friday.
This is a one-story home which consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, family room, living room, detached garage, front yard and backyard (fenced). The children use living room, family room, bathroom, and back yard. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: bedrooms, kitchen, detached garage, and front yard. All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. The licensee states families provide food daily for their own child.
The licensee states that 2 adults and 0 minors currently live in the home. Licensee states that they currently have one assistant. All individuals present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing or volunteering in a licensed home. Per licensee, there are no bodies of water on the premises. Storage of a firearm was reviewed and meets Title 22 requirements.
At 11:30am, LPA was led on a tour of the facility by the licensee. Upon entry into the home, LPA reviewed the living room. The living room is set up in a Montessori set up. There are age appropriate toys and materials for children in care. Emergency Disaster Plan, Parent’s Rights Poster and the Facility License are observed to be posted. Per licensee, the corner of the living room will be used as an area for an ill child until an authorized representative comes to pick up child. LPA observed napping equipment in the form of cots. Equipment is stored in living room closet.
