32 | At 9:00 am, the applicant began touring LPA’s through the home starting with the entry way which lead directly to the living room. The living room was inspected and electrical outlets were observed to be covered. There is a fireplace in the living room which has been blocked off to prevent access. LPA observed children toys, tables, chairs in the living room. Next to the living room, The kitchen was inspected, and LPA observed
child safety latches on the cabinets where she stores cleaning compounds and sharp items. Per applicant, no poisons are kept in the home. Next LPA toured the bathroom in the hallway. LPA did not observe accessible hazards. Applicant showed LPA the cabinet in the restroom is secured. Next LPA toured the two off-limit bedrooms in the hallway and did not observe any hazards. LPA observed plastic door knobs on the off-limit bedrooms doors. There are four stairs by the kitchen which leads to the backyard and basement. LPA did not observe a gate by the stairs to make it inaccessible to the children. Next LPA toured the laundry room and one bedroom in the basement and did not observe any hazards. Per applicant, she will keep the basement door closed and locked all the times. LPA observed the required 2A 10BC fire extinguisher was placed on the cabinet in the kitchen. It was serviced on 12/18/25 as read by LPA from the service tag. Applicant tested the carbon monoxide and smoke detectors in the living room. It sounded off the alarms and heard by LPA to be functional. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which could pose a danger to children were observed to be inaccessible to children.
Next LPA toured the backyard fenced. Per applicant, children will use the back yard for outdoor play time. The outdoor play area was observed to be fenced. LPA observed that the outdoor yard has toys and other materials for children to play with. LPA did not observe any objects that can pose a danger to children on the outdoor yard. The applicant states that supervision is always provided. Next LPA toured the detached garage, off-limit and did not observe any hazards. Per applicant, she will keep the garage door locked all the time. Per applicant, children will not use the side yard.
APPLICANT RENTS/LEASES THE HOME: The applicant provided proof of control of property. APPLICANT RENTS/LEASES THE HOME AND DOES NOT HAVE LANDLORD CONSENT: The applicant has not obtained a signed Property Owner/Landlord Consent form (LIC9149). Without this consent, the applicant understands that, once licensed, they can operate with a maximum capacity of 12 children. If property owner/landlord consent is obtained in the future, the applicant is advised that a new Application for a Family Child Care Home License (LIC 279) must be submitted with a change of capacity fee of $25, to increase the capacity and provide care to 14 children.
