25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elka Chavez conducted an unannounced annual inspection to the above facility in Spanish on 8/03/2021. LPA arrived at the facility at 9:10 AM and met with Licensee, Elizabeth Munoz, Licensee who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Also present during this inspection, was, Licensee’s Spouse and Gracie Urrea, assistant. Per Licensee, there are 8 children that are currently enrolled. A current children’s roster was available for review. There were 5 children present upon arrival.
This is a single-story home. The home consists of 4 bedrooms, 1 restroom, living room (day care room), family room, kitchen, back yard (fenced) and detached garage. Parents enter through the side medal gate which leads to the door located between the kitchen and the family room. Areas accessible to children are: Living room (day care room), bedroom located next to the living room (infant day care room) kitchen, hallway bathroom and patio in the back yard (fenced). Areas off limits to children and parents are: Applicant's master bedroom, two bedrooms located next to the hallway bathroom, family room, front yard and detached garage. LPA observed safety door knobs and child safety gates making the off-limit rooms inaccessible to children in care. The licensee understands that licensing staff may have access to off-limit areas during inspection visit if necessary. **Rooms that are off-limits need to be made inaccessible during operating hours**
Individuals who reside in the home were noted and discussed. Per Licensee, she currently has 1 assistant. All adults present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance. Licensee states that there are no firearms stored in the home.
All areas identified on the facility sketch that are accessible for children to use were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. There is telephone service via cell phone that is used, and the cellphone stays at the facility during operation hours. There is ventilation and heating (central). Safe toys play equipment and materials were observed. LPA observed the central air was on and operable.. |
