25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Susann Sanchez conducted a prelicensing inspection to the above facility. LPA met with Maria & Veronica Alarcon, applicant who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Per applicants hours of operation will be 6:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.
Tour began at 10:15am. This is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, daycare room, garage (with 2nd restroom), front yard, side yards, and backyard (fenced). On limit areas are:,the living room, day care room, dining room, the one bathroom that is located in the hallway, and backyard. Per applicants, areas off limits to children and parents include: all bedrooms, garage, front yard, and side yards. All off limit are were observed to be locked. The applicants will provide food for children.
The applicants states that 5 adults currently live in the home. All individuals present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing or volunteering in a licensed home. Per applicant, there are no weapons, firearms and no bodies of water on the premises.
All areas identified on the facility sketch that children use, were inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, ventilation and heating. The following was observed and reviewed during this inspection.
Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which could pose a danger are inaccessible to children and are kept in the under the kitchen sink. Per applicant poisons are kept locked in the garage. LPA observed locks in all kitchen cabinets. LPA observed knifes for cooking were located in a locked cabinet and out of reach for children. |
