25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Alicia Mooberry conducted an unannounced Required - 3 Year Inspection on this date. LPA arrived at 1:15pm and met with Diana Ordaz, Licensee, and explained the purpose of the visit. LPA toured the home and observed six (6) children in care (including 2 infants). LPA provided the inspection Entrance Checklist, LIC 126 to licensee. Also present was Consuelo Rodarte, Assistant. The licensee is within the capacity limitations.
Per licensee the hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7:00am-6:30pm. At 4:00pm arrived at the facility, bringing the facility into capacity. All adults present have obtained the required background clearance. Individuals residing in the home were discussed and noted.
This facility is a single family home that consists of two (2) bedrooms, one (1) bathroom, living room, dining room, den, kitchen, shaded and enclosed patio, and attached garage.
The home was inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children.
Areas used by children include: Living room, dining room, kitchen, den, bathroom, and shaded patio and enclosed yard.
Areas off limits include: Bedroom 1 and bedroom 2, attached garage.
The home was observed to be clean and orderly and has central heating and air conditioning. There are outlet covers throughout the home. LPA observed knives and sharp objects in kitchen drawer with safety latch inaccessible to children in care. Cleaning products are stored in locked cabinet under kitchen sink as well as bathroom sink. Licensee was reminded to regularly check the safety locks to make sure they are working properly.
