25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) R. Derraco conducted an unannounced required one year inspection to the above facility on 04/11/22. LPA arrived at the facility at 01:50 PM and met with licensee, Jasmine Castro Amaya, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. Per Licensee, there are 8 children that are currently enrolled. There was 1 child napping upon arrival. Covid-19 protocols (temperature check, self assessment questions) were taken upon LPA's entrance into facility
This is a one story home which consists of three bedrooms, three bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, a garage, front yard and backyard (fenced). The off limit areas include two bedrooms, one bathroom the garage, kitchen, front yard and part of the back yard.
The main care area is located in the living room. LPA observed two wooden baby cribs, a wall mounted television, an infant changing station, emergency supply box, a storage bin for children toys, pull down fire alarm, a children's cubby locker, a sectional couch, and a Graco feeding high chair. Child sized table and chairs were observed in the dining area. Bedroom 1 was observed to be used for children in care. Additional toys, art supplies and sleeping cots were observed in bedroom 1. Two bathrooms were observed to be clean and free of defects. Child locks were observed beneath the sink of each bathroom making the contents inaccessible. The outdoor play area is located in the backyard. LPA observed a tether ball pole, a basketball hoop, children's outdoor play equipment, an a child sized picnic table. A white picket fence was observed in the back yard to separate the off limits area where the licensee's pet dog is kept from the back yard play area. Licensee states she plans to add a mesh fence to the white picket fence to make the space between the wood inaccessible. Licensee states that she provides food for children in care. A gate was observed at the entrance of the kitchen making the area inaccessible to children in care. Door knob covers were observed on all doors leading to off limit bedrooms. Per licensee, isolation area for children showing signs of illness will be located in bedroom one while parents are contacted for immediate pick up. Emergency Disaster Plan, (page 1 of 3) |
