25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) R. Derraco conducted an unannounced case management inspection to the above mentioned facility on 04/12/24. LPA arrived at the facility at 2:20 PM and was met by licensee, Jasmine Castro Amaya, who guided analyst on a tour. Also present during the inspection was 1 adult assistant. LPA observed 2 children in care, 1 of the children is a napping infant. Licensee was observed to be in compliance with infant safe sleep regulations. The home was observed to be clean and free of defects.
The purpose of this visit is to inspect the front yard to be used as a play area for children in care. LPA observed the front yard to have perimeter fencing and age appropriate outdoor play equipment. Two gates were observed on each side of the home making the entrance to the backyard inaccessible to children. LPA also observed an automatic gate at the entrance of the driveway. Per licensee, she will keep the driveway empty during operation hours. Artificial grass was also observed in the front yard play area. Shade is provided by the porch area towards the front entrance. LPA observed the backyard area to have an additional dwelling unit (ADU). Licensee provided a copy of the ADU certificate from the City of Long Beach Community Development Department. Licensee states that the backyard is no longer used as an outdoor activity space. At the time of this report, there are no tenants in the ADU. Per licensee, she will have her ADU tenants associated to the facility roster when they officially move into the ADU.
LPA observed the facility to be in compliance with title 22 regulations. No deficiencies will be issued at this time. The front yard play area will be available to use as of the date of this report.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
