32 | Napping equipment (cots) were observed to be stored inside the classroom and sheets and blankets will be provided by the facility. Ill children will utilize the staff restroom located in the classroom and a mat will be provided for diapering. Ill/isolation area children will utilize the director's office and a mat will be available for children to rest if needed . LPA observed first aid kits inside classroom and observed to contain the required first-aid supplies.
Parent's will be providing infant formula and meals. The facility will be providing containers with infant names to store the bottles, and meals and the program will add the names to the formula containers. The program will be completing the infant log. The program will be providing breakfast, AM snack, lunch and two PM snacks for toddlers. The meals and snacks will be prepared on site. A monthly snack menu is available and posted in each classroom. For water drinking LPA observed disposable water cups and water pitcher inside the classroom. LPA observed the food preparation area to be clean and free of litter, rubbish, rodents, and/or any other vermin and storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins with tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair. The facility was observed to be free of flies, other insects and rodents.
At approximately 12:45 PM LPA Rivera entered the outdoor playground to conduct an inspection and measurements. LPA observed the equipment to be in good condition, free of sharp, no loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. All areas around or under high climbing equipment, are cushioned with material that absorbs a fall. LPA observed a set of 6 infant swings to be too high. LPA informed the swings are too high for the infants. LPA advised to bring down the swings to an approved level or removed the swings. For outdoor water drinking, facility will provide disposable water cups and a pitcher of water and for infants their bottles will be filled with water. LPA observed built in shade tent. The tent provides adequate shade in the play yard. LPA observed two front yard gates. The main entrance, LPA observed a self-latch on top and middle and the driveway gate closed with a keypad lock. LPA observed the tents metal poles covered with red tape and cushion.
Director Sherry Lenard has proof of pediatric First Aid/CPR certification (expires 11/2023), preventative health and safety training with the nutrition and lead component dated 11/21/21, child abused mandated certification (AB 1207) dated 11/18/21 and immunization against pertussis, and measles, and influenza. Director has been informed mandated reporter training must be completed every 2 years, and is available at www.mandatedreporterca.com |
