32 | At approximately 10:35 AM LPA entered classroom number three to conduct an inspection and measurements. LPA observed staff #1 with three children sitting down eating their snack. LPA observed age appropriate furniture and equipment in good condition, free of sharp, not loose, or pointed parts and age appropriate toys accessible to children and carpet clean. LPA observed the cubbies on the wall for children to place their personal items. LPA observed the cleaning solutions stored inside the top cabinet locked making it inaccessible for children to reach/open. LPA observed a trash bin with a tight fitting lid.
At approximately 10:55 AM LPA entered classroom number four to conduct an inspection and measurements. LPA observed age appropriate furniture and equipment in good condition, free of sharp, not loose, or pointed parts and age appropriate toys accessible to children and carpet clean. LPA observed the cubbies on the wall for children to place their personal items. LPA observed the cleaning solutions stored inside the top cabinet locked making it inaccessible for children to reach/open. LPA observed a trash bin with a tight fitting lid.
Heating lighting and ventilation were evaluated by LPA. LPA observed central AC/heater and vents located on the ceiling wall. LPA observed the thermostat located in the hallway and the current room temperature to be at 80 degrees LPA observed the fire extinguisher located inside the classrooms and kitchen and the valve on the required 2A10BC fire extinguisher indicating fully charged and serviced on 7/16/2021. Smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and fire alarm are located in classroom on the top ceiling and connected to the fire alarm.
At 11:15 PM LPA Rivera observed the bathrooms to be in good condition with working toilets, sinks, hand soap dispenser and paper towels. LPA observed a total of six toilets and five sinks. Restrooms are located in classroom one and between classroom three and four. Cots for classroom one are stored inside the staff restroom, for classroom three the cots are stored in the preschool restroom and for classroom four cots are stored inside the classroom. For ill/isolation area children will use the director's office and a mat will be available for children to rest if needed and the staff restroom next to the director's office will be used.
Breakfast, Lunch and PM Snack are provided by the facility and prepared on site. Classrooms are currently utilizing water jugs with children's personal cups for water drinking. LPA observed the kitchen area/food preparation area to be clean and are free of litter, rubbish, rodents, and/or any other vermin and storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins with tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair. The facility was observed to be free of flies, other insects and rodents.
